Tom Gurney is a minor character in the Bully, and is a loose member of the Bullies gang that no one gives a toss about.
Role in Game[]
Tom only appears in the missions "The Setup" and "Save Algie" as backup for the Bullies, showing he is nothing but a minion and a goon for the likes of Davis White and Trent Northwick. Even so, his encounter in the latter mission is optional. Although he is present in 2 missions, he has no cutscene appearances at all or any mission-specific audio since he is just some loose goon for Russell Northrop's boys. Lastly, Tom will spawn more than once in the said two missions, showing he never was meant to be nothing more than a goon for Russell and his boys.
Personality and traits[]
Despite being as much of a bully as the rest of the evil gang, Tom seems to be more mature than the others and very unappreciated. Hell, some even say one of the Bullies gave him the black eye he is known for having. His dialogue also indicates that he doesn't enjoy being a bully as much as the rest of the others and feels guilty about what he's done to other schoolkids. It is possible he only hangs out with the bullies due to his fear of Russell Northrop or Troy Miller, who even threatened to rape him numerous time. Despite this, he also indicated that he cares about his friends quite a bit, but whether is it out of fear or nah is mystery. Another indication of his paranoia is the fact he says that he can't trust anyone, believes that everybody is out to get him, kind of like Pedro De La Hoya, and he frequently claims that everyone picks on him, especially his so-called "buddies", like Trent or Wade Martin. He apparently works on the side for Mr. Pearson, supplying him some cocaine for a good grade.
Tom can be heard saying "I heard that the new kid keeps hassling the Preppies, that's cool in my opinion. IT'S MY OPINION!!!! I hate the Preps! I'm poor". There is no explanation on why he is poor and why he holds a grudge against the preps, but perhaps their arrogant attitude is one of the answers, no doubt.
One of Tom's many hobby seems to be watching horror, action, porn and documentary movies. A few of his comments indicate that he suffers from double vision, amnesia (even at his age), PTSD from the time Wade raped him, schizophrenia, flu and dyslexia. He is also forced to take it into the as daily by Elsa Peabody and her Hand Dildo, for she hates boys. He really hates wearing shoes for the bullies always force him to smell them.
Death[]
Tom got killed in some random bar in Texas when he went for a drink and the chandelier fell on his head, choking him for hours until he finally died.
