Task Force 589 is the task force that was lead by Captain Ace, and Sergeant Chainer. Other members were Ghost, Boss, Chipmunk, and Sweetwater. The Task Force is composed of volunteers from a multitude of countries such as the United States, Canada, England, Germany, France, Italy, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Portugal. The only nations not members of 589 are Russia, Bulgaria, Brazil, Saudi Arabia and Iraq.


Task Force 589 took part in Operation Cold Shoulder, Operation Takedown, Operation Hercules, and Operation Airwolf.


Captain "Ace" (STATUS: Active) - British Special Air Service, appears to act as a field commander and designated rusher. Captain of Task Force 589, commander of Operation Cold Shoulder.

Lieutenant "Ghost" (STATUS: WIA) - British Royal Marine Commandos, technical specialist and field commander subordinate to Captain Ace. Condones torture as a method of interrogation.

Sergeant "Chainer" (STATUS: Active) - Echo Squad, appears to act as a field commander after taking the place of Boss. Designated heavy weapons man, commander of Operation Takedown.

Private First Class "Chipmunk" (STATUS: Active) - U.S. Marine Corps, appears to act as an infantry man.

Private First Class "Boss" (STATUS: WIA) - Echo Squad, designated heavy weapons man. Wounded in Operation Cold Shoulder.

Private First Class "Sweetwater" (STATUS: Active) - U.S. Army Rangers, appears to act as the designated sharpshooter.
