Sgt. David Jacob Gilmour is a US Navy Seal sergeant who has served in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Russia, Germany, Israel and the Congo. He was born in New York City, in 1940. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1957, when he was 17 years old. 2 years later, he joined the Navy Seals. When he was 27 years old, he went on top secret missions into North Vietnam. This built him up mentally, knowing he could kill a man with a wooden spoon.
During the time he was in Vietnam, he was using a M16A1 or a M60 Light Machine Gun. In 1969 he killed a Viet Cong soldier with a spoon and ketchup.
In 1991 he went out to Iraq and was given the mission to deliver a tactical nuclear weapon to a location, that he was not even told about. The device exploded between 2 bunkers. This was done to scare the Iraqi soldiers. Only one of his squadmates got minor radiation sickness.
In 1993 he was sent to Pripyat, Ukriane, to find and kill a Russian war lord, who was using the Zone of alienation for cover from the Internatinal forces. He was sent in with Captain Riley. They found that the place that they were using as a sniper perch was too far away from where the war lord would be making plans with commanders. So they had to take him out, they called in an airstrike on the convoy, killing 47 enemy soldiers and the warlord.
Later in his life, he went on top secret missions, the goverment knowing that only he would survive. So secret, not even the president of United States was allowed to know about the missions.
During his time in Vietnam he primarily used a M16A1 assult rfile, or a M60 Light Machine Gun.
