Seth Brains is a major character featured in Red Dead Garlic bread, a minor villain in Red Dead Revolver 3dn edition and again a major hero in Undead Nightmare.

Seth was some crazy grave-robbing bastard who ain't washed in six months! He was deranged as hell. He somehow met West Dickes and the two became buddies, although there is nothing that would connect the two.
Seth also used to be friends with Moses Forth before o' Forth betrayed him and went treasure hunting on his own. Brains' entire life dedication is to one goddam treasure!
In Red Dead Revolver 3dn edition, Brains creates himself a gang and they occupy Thompson Town, the place where his treasure was presumably buried.

Revolver[]
Seth is the boss encountered in the end of the mission "The Hunt For Seth Brains" where he will be attacking the hero with a Gatling gun stashed up in a coffin, like Mr. Black of Black Town. Seth killed some of his own men while fighting Jack Marston. He was eventually killed by Marston and his bounty plus corpse were brought to Silver Town where Jacky would get his pay.
Showdown mode[]
Brains is unlocked in Showdown Mode after the player completes the mission "Hunt for Seth Brains" with an excellent rating or purchase the Coffin from General Store in Gold Town.
American West[]
Dickens mentions Seth to John Marston as one of his closest allies and the one with connections to William Williamson so that would make him useful in their plans to get inside Fort Mercer.
Marston meets Brains robbing a grave in Coot's Chapel and he agrees to help our hero out in exchange of helping him find his ex-partner Moses Forth and the treasure of Thompson Town.
Marston helps him with all of them deeds, but the treasure in Thompson's only turns out to be some glass eye and Sef cries like a giant manchild that he is. He then agrees to help Johnny storm Mercer's regardless.
Sef is the key to John and his allies getting into the Fort and killing most of Williamson gang only to find out Billy had escaped the other day to Mexico, seeking protection from Javier Escuella.
Undead Nightmare[]
Seth has his own base at Old Baccus Cabin and is playing poker with an undead Moses. One night he has a jig at the cabin with Mary Lou, Francine, Moses and Isamel Raimi before telling Johnny boy that the cause of the plague comes from Mehico. Marston ventures there at once! AT ONCE!
Death[]
Brains died in 1893 after he was killed by Brumas the Bear in Tall Trees, West Virginia while once again searching for treasure. Seth stepped too close to Nekoti Mountain it seems.
