"I'd die before I speak. I have said nothing. Key? What key? I told you nothing... Whoa! No, aaaaahhhhhh!!!"
— Rudolph before and after been thrown out of Stromboli's Supplies third floor

Rudolph Tattaglia was a Capo in the Tattaglia Family, working as an adviser to his nephew and family Underboss Bruno Tattaglia. When he refused to give up his location, he was fooled into walking out of a third-story door that had no balcony, killing him. At his funeral, Bruno was thrown into the cremation oven.

Rudolph was born and raised in a small town in Southern Italy and was a distant brother of Samuele Tattaglia. Rudolph was once a soldier in the Italian army along with Vito Corleone, however he hated Vito, and Vito never mentioned working with him in the game. Rudo instead retired from the army and joined the Mafia along with his brother, Samuele. He soon married the sister of Don Phillip Cuneo, Roberta Cuneo, and was the main link between the Cuneo and Tattaglia families. He also made a deal with Cuneos to be allies with Tattaglias in The Five Families Mob War.

"Bruno? He's a cat with nine lives, he's gone, you missed him."
— Rudolph don't want to tell where's Bruno
"Fak you! We'll squash your family... Like ants!"
— Rudolph to Sonny
"Ok, but don't be shootin' at our guys (Tattaglias), alright?"
— Rudolph to Cuneo men
"Get it over with! You'll never find Bruno and your girl is dead!"
— Rudolph to Sonny and Charlie
"Too weak to pully the trigger? You and Sonny are a couple of pretty boy priks!"
— Rudolph to Trapani
"You'll die, like your girl! You'll burn in HELL!"
— Rudolph to Charlie
"Hey Sonny! I'm coming for your father. Ahahahahaha!"
— Rudolph to Sonny
"Key? What key? I told you nothing..."
— Rudolph's last words

After refusing to talk with Santino, he was guided to a door on the third floor of the shop, where he thought it was an exit. When he opened the door, he was surprised not to see a balcony or a staircase. While gripping to the sides of the door, Rudy was kicked off by Sonny, and fell to his death. He was cremated at Tito Morelli's Funeral Home, in Mid Town, and at his funeral, Bruno Tattaglia was thrown into a funeral pyre in the basement by Charlie Trapani, whose gurlfriend Frances "Frankie" Malone was shot by Bruno a few days earlier.
