Grandpa Slaughter is an old fart and the head honcho of the Slaughter family until it was disintegrated in 1973 thanks to Sally Hardesty.
He used to work at the ol' slaughterhouse but he retired as he was too old and frail to do so. When the Slaughter family became cannibalistic, he joined in on the madness and drank blood, which kept him alive.
Bio[]
Earl Sawyer was born in 1849. He worked at the slaughterhouse in Newt, Texas. He was the best damn killer there ever was! He always wacked them once and that's all it took, Grandpa was a one-hitter! Later down the line he had children who would also have kids by the name of Drayton Sawyer, Robert Sawyer, Nubbins Sawyer and "Bubba" Sawyer. His grandkids called him "Grandpa".
In the 1960's, slaughterhouses were switching to bolt guns rather than sledgehammers, which drove Grandpa insane, he couldn't handle the shame of having to use a gun. When the Sawyers resorted to cannibalism, they gave Grandpa fresh blood to drink in order for him to live which worked for a while.
After the events of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre on August 18th, 1973, Grandpa Sawyer was arrested and sentenced to life in prison, he died just days after his imprisonment from old age.
