Tattaglia family

Tattaglia family. From left to right: An unknown dead Corleone guy on the floor, a prostitute, Samuele Tattaglia, another unknown prostitute.

The Tattaglia Family were a family of the Italian/Sicilian Mafia that was counted among the Five/Six Families of France during the 2008's-11's. It was founded in 1992/8 BH by Don Samuele Tattaglia, who was a brutal yet weakened man. The family reached its power in 2009/9 AH, after it controlled the narcotics trade and took over all of Little Town and Crazy Town, but declined in 2013/13 AH when it's bosses Osvaldo Altobello and Rico Tattaglia were assassinated near Liberty Island, New York, United States of America. They were then led by Luigi Tattaglia until his death and were then led by Bruno Tattaglia, Don Tattaglia's third son. After Bruno's death, the family was merged into a crew of weak gangsters working for Gicov's Gang, so the family is disbanded in a sense.

History[]

The Tattaglia family was founded in 1992/8 BH by Samuele Tattaglia, who was a ganglord with lots of power. Tattaglia became allies with the Cuneo Family and Barzini Family, with the latter actually controlling them like puppets. The Tattaglias were mostly enemies with the Stracci Family and Corleone Family.

The Tattaglia family reached the height of its power in 7 AH actually, following the Little Town War, where Underboss Bruno Tattaglia took over most of Little Town from the Corleones. They were undoubtedly the weakest of the five families of France City, and the Corleones were only in a dark period in their history. But the Tattaglia family were pretty powerful following their investment with drugs, having connections with Virgil Sollozzo, a Turkish druglord. When Sollozzo was killed in 2010/10 AH by Michael Corleone in February or March, depending on the timeline, the Tattaglias, Barzinis, Cuneos, and Straccis lost most of their money and the Corleones were enemies of all of the families, during what was called The Five Families Mob War.

The Tattaglias lost power in mid 2010 when Bruno Tattaglia was killed by Charlie Trapani, a Soldier in the Corleone Family, and the Tattaglias lost the war after Don Tattaglia and all of his made men, including son and underboss Johnny Tattaglia, were killed. From then till 2013/13 AH, they were led by Osvaldo Altobello and Rico Tattaglia, Osvaldo being an old ally of the Tattaglias. However, Rico and Osvaldo conspired with others to kill Michael Corleone and take over France City, but were assassinated in 2013 in New York and the family was led by Alejandro Burromuerto and Luigi Tattaglia. In mid 2015/15 AH, Alejandro was killed by Aldo der Lertrich. One of their last hideouts was the Old Town Industrial Park, and they also employed Willie Sissy, the Corleone traitor to kill Vito Corleone for them, until he himself was killed by Victor Barzini.

The Tattaglias and Barzinis began allying themselves with the DeVazzi Family, their power increasing tenfold. The Barzinis and DeVazzis started gaining back France then from the Corleones after this, regaining territories. Victor and Bruno became great allies, Bruno being resurrected by Queen Almeida on Outworld a while back and Victor contacted Bruno.

Barzini then moved his bags and his sacks to New Jersey in America to settle and expend, becoming the enemy, with a great smile & destroy, I mean destruction. Initially, both Tattaglia and Victor respected and valued each other like the buds they were. Following their greedy attitudes however, it was seen that the two Dons divided their empire shortly. After a while, Bruno and Victor gradually fell out, leading to a "mob war" of sorts between the two Dons. Victor would antagonise Bruno often, albeit never attempted an assassination on him.

Victor soon enlisted Marco the Clopper into his family after inspecting his cum and benis size plus hardcorness in BDSM. During a mob war, Victor lost nearly everything invested there and even in New York, being under pressure from Marco (literally), the police, politicians, judges and numerous Tattaglia men. Even worse, his trusted ally and booker, Leopold Strauss, betrayed him as was expected. However, things began to change from bad to good for a bit; Victor gained the valuable Pringles shipment stolen from Tattaglia men when the chips became too expensive in the markets, which dealt him a hard blow and Bruno had to switch back to Lays. On June, 2020/20 AH, Barzini was having a date with Marco at the diner when suddenly, assassins sent by Tattaglia and led by Willie Sissy attacked. Both men luckily survived just as Marco was about to pull out and they killed their assassins (minus Willie), but the restaurant was destroyed in the process. Marco and Victor then went to Willie's apartment to finish the assassin, Victor smashing his head against the pavement.

Victor then plotted a chain of assassinations of Tattaglia men: Thomas Elliot, Tony Jacobs, Strauss, and finally Bruno himself. Thomas and Jacobs were killed, but Strauss and Bruno managed to survive.

Bruno then escaped back to France thx to fearing for his low life, while Victor became the most powerful man once again, this time in US.

However, after some shenanigans concerning fake Toblerones, Strauss' talk at the court and the death of his top men, Barzini was sentenced to life imprisonment or at least 50 years. However, he was freed from jail by a bomb that exploded his jail cell open.

Bruno was still plotting revenge against the Barzini, planning on killing him off and his new buddy Jean-Marc Samperis, together known as The Europe Kings and take over his empire.

Bruno was captured and tortured by Gicov's Gang during the New Era events and his remaining men were merged into small sub-crews led by Leopold Strauss, ending the Tattaglia mob while Barzini would be killed by Sergeant Morganson.

In the video game[]

In the video game, the Tattaglias are the secondary enemies. They are the weakest family, despite owning the territories of Crazy Town and Little Town, the only family to have two territories at the start of the game. The Tattaglias are led in the field by Underboss Bruno Tattaglia, but have capable family members to assist them. They are indicated with yellow suits.

Their main business include liquor, counterfeiting and prostitution, although they have no problems getting their hands dirty with illegal boxing and hit contract killing as well, like most other families.

Personality[]

The Tattaglias were the least respected of the Five Families of France, infamous for their inherent weakness, treachery, pornography and underhandedness. However, their lack of power is made up for with their mass numbers, sporting enough members to own two territories while other families only own one. However, a lot of Tattaglia men were in reality just puppets to the most powerful Barzini Family.

The Corleones and Tattaglias had a fierce hatred for each other and would commonly provoke and antagonise each other on daily basis. Although they work in close connection to the Barzini and Cuneo Family, is is unlikely that the Barzinis hold any greater respect for them than the Corleones do. The Cuneos might, though.
