Diego's Railroad is a special, armoured and private train that only appears in the Red Dead Revolver.
Overview[]
The train was bought with armoured plates/shields, along with two Gatling guns and three cannons on top of it by General Diego himself. Almost nothing could damage it. Diego used the train to transport his gold from the Diablo Mine to America to Jacques Dixmor and Mayor Griffon and back. The Mexican Army operated the mounted weapons on the train and the train itself was operated by Jose Hernandez.
During the last cutscene of the mission "Fort Diego", Diego's Railroad can be heard leaving Diego's Fort and a near-dead Shadow Wolf advises Red Harlow to go after it so he can "finish what he started".
During the next mission "End of the Line", Red infiltrates the train by jumping on it, discharges two wagons and kills the soldiers and Gatling gunners on it. But in order for him to stop and destroy the train, Red has to ally himself with Willy Wilson operating a handcar and use his Gatling to shoot the train's machine armoury off and kill the attacking Mexican soldiers (one of them being Alonso Cleu).
In the mission "Devils and Angels", Diego makes a last stand with Red along with Hernandez after the train stops on the tracks on fire. However, while Jose escapes certain death by running away from everything, Diego gets killed by Red on the train tracks with a Sawn-off Shotgun.
