"I killed your girl, hell, I enjoyed killing your girl."
— Bruno Tattaglia after killing Frankie

Bruno Tattaglia is the son of Don Samuele Tattaglia and ex-Underboss of the Tattaglia Family, one of the families of the Sicilian Mafia. He led the Tattaglias in the Little Town War of 2007, which gained Little Town from the Corleone Family, and was one of the key figures in The Five Families Mob War. He was burnt to death in the oven of Tito Morelli's in 2010 for the funeral of his uncle Rudolph Tattaglia until his resurrection in late 2019 at the hands of Queen Almeida. After killing his own brother who was the Don of the Tattaglia mob he took his title as boss while he was also tightly allied to the Barzini Family before their rivalry.

Biography[]

Bruno was the son of Samuele Tattaglia, an Italian immigrant, and a master of his. By 1993, the Tattaglia family had made a name for themselves in France, and Bruno Tattaglia took part in its rise from 2001. He led the Tattaglia offensive against the Corleones that pushed them out of their territory of Little Town in 2007, which made him a feared commander in the Sicilian Mafia, especially amongst the Corleone family. He was the field commander of the Tattaglias in their mob wars against the other Five Families too, and was always escorted by his bodyguards. By 2010, he had reduced the Corleones to safehouse-dwellers.

Sollozzo's Partner[]

Sollozzo took part in the murder of Luca Brasi on December 14, 2009, who was trying to infiltrate the Tattaglias to find out what was under Virgil Sollozzo's sleeves. This began the Sollozzo intrigue, however, Sollozzo was killed in February, 2010 by Michael Corleone. The Five Families Mob War broke out the second the Sollozzo crisis ended, with Bruno leading the Tattaglia underworld offensive that forced the Corleones to hit the mattresses. From February to March, he had bombed several Corleone businesses and won a series of short mob wars. Tattaglia reduced the war down to a personal war, not one of business: he murdered Corleone soldato Charlie Trapani's girlfriend Frankie Malone, causing him to go on a rampage against the Tattaglia family. Trapani and Corleone Underboss Sonny Corleone made their move: They killed Tattaglia caporegime and Bruno's own uncle Rudolph Tattaglia. Tattaglia came out of hiding to go to his funeral at Tito Morelli's funeral parlour. During the funeral, Trapani ambushed the Tattaglias in revenge for Malone's death, killing many mobsters and Massimo Forletti, Bruno's right-hand man and Carmine Forletti's nephew, and then threw Bruno into the cremation oven in the basement, burning him to ashes. In 2011, the Tattaglia Mansion was bombed in an attack masterminded by Corleone caporegime and Barzini mole Sal Tessio and Jaggy Jovino before he was found traitor, which crippled the Tattaglias and almost destroyed them until Rico Tattaglia stepped in to be the next Don.

In the video game[]

"You got no chance. You're a dead man, my friend."
— Bruno Tattaglia to Trapani

Bruno plays a role in the first game starting with Luca's death. Later on, Bruno had his men abduct Frankie Malone, and had them bring her to a church in Crazy Town where Bruno murdered her and incurred the wrath of her boyfriend Charlie Trapani, a Corleone soon to be Underboss. At this time, Bruno had recently become the family underboss after the murder of Frankie Malone or at least so they say.

New Era events[]

When Queen Almeida began preparing to undo the history of man and pluck Raven's eyes out to create the miraculous New Era events, Bruno Tattaglia is revived and one of the many time displaced people to arrive in the present Outworld during the execution of Lord Farquaad, alongside with Outworld's ex-ruler, Shao Kahn, Red Harlow, Victor Barzini, Grizzly, Raiden, Javier Escuella, and the past human versions of Liu Kang, Kung Lao, and Jade.

When Shao fights his brother who was the current ruler of Outworld, Kotal Kahn for the throne, erupting the coliseum into chaos from all sides, Bruno and the others decide to help Shao and he fought, along with Harlow, Kotal's Army with a Super Barrel Magnum, they were all primitive and weak anyway. Bruno later fought Kitana but got his s kicked by Jade as did most of Shao's newest allies. Bruno escapes with Kahn and the others when Leopold Strauss arrives to whisk Shao's group away to safety in the Kytinn Hive. Bruno and his pal Victor were the last two to enter the portal.

At the Hive, Bruno and the others watch as Javier personally swore his loyalty to Shao Kahn but also warned him not to trust Strauss, while he also learned about Kotal. Bruno made a snarky smile while at it. Not long after, Almeida herself arrives, offering the deposed Emperor a greater empire in her New Era and promises him that he will get his Outworld back but tells him he will have to use its armies to protect her and her hourglass as she prepares to undo the history of man.

Bruno, Barzini and the others remain at Shao's side as he moves them to the Tarkatan Camps on the edges of North Outworld's wasteland beaches, where he prepares his army and allies to slaughter them all, being aware of Baraka's betrayal thanks to Almeida's clever manipulations. However, Kotal and Jade sneaked into the camp for a preemptive strike, which resulted in a botch as they were both captured by Shao, Bruno overseeing Kotal's capture. Bruno and the rest of Shao's allies are then seen slaughtering the Tarkatans to bits, Tattaglia using his Magnum and a Commando Knife to kill them.

Back at Kahn's Coliseum, Shao is getting ready to execute Kotal, but before he can land the fatality, Princess Kitana storms in, leading the remaining Tarkatans and Ponys under one banner to take over Outworld once again from Shao, but that failed miserably. After a long battle, Kitana and her minions are defeated, and despite the fact that Kotal was freed from his guillotine, he was no longer the Emperor and was only a minor help in Kitana's rebel assault.

After Shao finally takes his purple planet back in peace, Bruno, Victor and the others are seen in his throne room, only for them to be seen taking a portal back to Earth, minus Farquaad and Harlow.

Today, Bruno is currently the head of the Tattaglia family thanks to the death of his brother, Luigi, whom Bruno personally killed to takeover the mob, along with some Barzini gangsters. Bruno has also managed to extinct the last Corleones and Westside Rollerz who planned on moving into the Barzini Family's turf in New York City as a gratitude to Don Barzini. However, thanks to both men's lusting for power, Bruno and Victor's relationship is on thin ice.

Quotes[]

"Do you agree?"
— Bruno to Luca
"Come on now my little cutie bird.... FILTHY CORLEONE WHORE! Where's yo' pretty boy now!? Huh?"
— Bruno before killing Frankie
"Massimo, kill this coksucker."
— Bruno ordering his men to kill Charlie
"Non hai possibilità, si bruciano in un inferno come se fossi ragazza!"
— Bruno Tattaglia to Charlie
"I killed your girl, heheheheh!"
— Bruno to Trapani
"Fuk you man, you're a dead man, my friend."
— Bruno to Trapani
"No! CAGNA! You killed Forletti! Nevertheless you still have no chance, you're a dead man, my friend."
— Bruno after Trapani kills Massimo
"You little fool! You reject all this wealth and power you were born into? You have got to be crasy."
— Bruno to Kitana
"I have returned! And from now on, no longer will I entrust and sign "peace submits" only to suffer the consequence when I find out my conspirators are nothing but traitors! The time has been reversed so that we may triumph once more! Years ago I was killed by a Corleone Family hitman: Charlie Trapani. Though most of their members are now subsequently scattered to the winds, their cowardly Don, Domenico Von Crane, is hiding somewhere in China. Cowering there like a puss since 2015. It didn't take long for me to ally myself with the good o' Cuneo Family, before they went to the dust, and Barzini Family once more. Me, a couple of my and Cuneo men, and most importantly, Scarecrow, left for China with our private plane to finally kill Domenico, ending the Corleone mob forever. It was not hard to find Domenico's hiding spot. It seemed that with all the money he had taken with himself, he had build himself a palace at the Wu Shu gardens. During our siege, lots of corpses of the Corleone scum were scattered all around his palace. Reaching his office, Von Crane was armed with a small pistol, and was hiding, as expected, behind his desk. I myself killed Domenico by blasting him in half with my Sawn-off Shotgun, four times! Breaking his desk and chair in the process! One of my men who had proven himself to be the strongest son-offa-bish in my empire was Thomas Elliot, he would serve as my ultimate enforcer. My brother, Luigi, a man whose existence I wasn't even aware of, was satisfied as all hell, claiming he could never spew such destruction upon the black abomination that is Corleone. Though I tried to conceal my ambitions, Luigi's loyaler men did notice that a position as an Underboss did not suit my tastes. Long had I wanted the position of a leader in my empire. Victor Barzini, as usually, appeared before me and proposed yet another alliance. He would help secure my place as the Don of the Tattaglia Family if I helped him in some undisclosed plot. I am no fool. I know well that an enemy of the Barzinis is an enemy of the Tattaglias as well. I accepted his offer and will complete his tasks, but until we get to the bottom of Victor's problems, I will use my brother as a perfect puppet to serve my own ends, since all of his lawyers and advisers are already dead. Queen Almeida made a smart decision not resurrecting them back, I swear."
— Bruno after his resurrection, also gives us some info about the Corleones and other shebang
"Victor is a nutcase, but he's not that much of a nutcase! He ain't stupid, y'know he won't be out there alone. Make sure you leave no survivors, NONE! NIENTE!"
— Bruno after ordering a hit on Victor

Personality and traits[]

As being the second youngest of the Tattaglias, Bruno was eager to make his mark in the world, often overshadowed by his elder brother Rico. He was cunning and resourceful, but also had a sadistic side, and admitted enjoying the killing of Frankie Malone.

He also showed no remorse nor pity when killing his brother Luigi, his ambitions were so strong he'd destroy anyone in his way just to become the Don.

In newspapers[]

"Bruno Tattaglia - most loved of Samuele Tattaglia's children, despite being the younger brother of the tough, now boss Rico Tattaglia and the older brother of Johnny Tattaglia. His death was one that touched close to his father, Don Samuele, who ordered the death of Sonny Corleone for revenge. Santino was gunned down at the Little Town Toll Plaza by Barzini, Stracci, Cuneo and Tattaglia hitmen, which caused Vito Corleone to come to terms with the Dons of the Five Families, which officially ended the war. However, from 2010 to 2011, heavy warfare continued between the families that resulted in Don Samuele's death, among many others."
